Condition: Folded into four sections to fit into the envelope when sent to Jon Corbino. The paper has 2 fold lines.

Bosa taught at the Cleveland Institute of Art from 1949-1970

(Lower right) “Happy Birthday, I wish you luck in your Show. Best regards Louis Bosa”.  Black ink on Cleveland Institute of Arts Stationary 11 x 8 ˝ inches on . Faded black ink to sepia. Paper slightly aged toned. 5 horizontal creases and one vertical to fit into envelope. Unframed and unmatted.

The one man show Bosa is referring to could be at the Oehlschlaeger Galleries in Chicago 1953, 1954, 1956. Bosa was also represented in Chicago by Oehlschlaeger.

Condition: 2 vertical folds to fit it into the envelope when sent to Jon Corbino. One light stain near Bosa's birthday cake. Lower right corner folded over not missing.

Jon Corbino, N.A. (1905-1964) wearing an electric blanket by Louis Bosa, N.A. (1905-1981) 4 x 5 3/4 inches, pad paper; age toned; black ink faded to sepia color. “A Christmas Wish Warming Up”. Must be 1946-49 as Corbino's summer home in Rockport was not winterized at that time--only the studio had a fireplace. He was recently divorced and between wives.
